The ConveyNet® CC I/O Box is a networked, distributed I/O module that offers 10 DC inputs and 8 relay outputs. Your PLC and your field devices communicate through the CC I/O module via one of several supported network protocols. The module connects to the ConveyNet® ME Motor Boxes for motor control, and is networked to other CC I/O Boxes, as well as an E-Stop Zone Controller.

If you do not have a PLC in place already, one of your CC I/O modules can be made "intelligent" by installing a PLC "top hat." If you already have an existing PLC, you merely outfit your CC I/O modules with a network communications "top hat" that matches your PLCs network protocol.
