The ConveyNet® VFD Motor Box is a networked, distributed variable frequency drive motor control module. If simple on/off control over your motors just isn't enough, the VFD box gives you that extra control over such parameters as acceleration, deceleration, speed control, and direction of flow.

You can choose from 1/2 to 15 HP rated VFDs, and either networked or digital control.

Adding a variable speed AC drive ConveyNet® control module allows the AC motor connected to its output terminals to be speed controlled from 0 to 100% rated speed (more in some applications, such as fans and pumps), or 0 to 100% rated torque for pulling loads or load sharing applications.

In some applications it is possible to control multiple motors from one VFD. Special engineering consideration must be given to these applications and systems in order to meet NEC requirements.

Variable speed motor control can be very useful in applications that require speed-matching of two or more conveyor or machine features; when timing the arrival of product to a defined job space to allow adjustment of product throughput; and an endless host of other applications where having the ability to vary and control motor speed or torque is either helpful or absolutely required.

A front-panel mounted membrane keypad is used to input programmable settings for over ninety drive parameters.

The AC variable speed drive also called a VFD (Variable Frequency Drive) has the ability to control all major and minor parameters that affect motor operation including:

• Start/stop
• Auto/manual operation
• Low speed limit (rpm)
• High speed limit (rpm)
• Acceleration rate (sec.)
• Deceleration rate (sec.)
• Run speed
• Reversing
• Starting torque
• Max torque
• I2T Motor protection (current/time)
• Monitor VFD/motor operation with customer assignable outputs
