ConveySort® and ConveyRoute® are a core grouping of software modules and applications that run on a Windows XP Professional based system that can connect to your Warehouse Management System (WMS) or act as a stand-alone sortation and routing system. These modules provide a bridge between the non-real-time based systems (like the WMS) and the real-time, lower level conveyor controls that physically divert and route cartons. The modules also provide information display and operator interface to configure operational modes of the physical conveyor system.
Because ConveySort® and ConveyRoute® are largely made up of proven software modules, most of the work that goes into providing you with effective sortation and routing solutions has already been done. Most customers require only 10% - 15% customization on top of the pre-existing modules.
The net effect for you: tremendous time and cost savings in the development stage. Other comparable sortation solutions can cost you up to three or four times the cost of ConveySort® and ConveyRoute®.

ConveySort® and ConveyRoute® take advantage of industry standard network protocols such as Ethernet TCP/IP and FTP, but because of structured communication techniques, an endless variety of protocols can be supported from simple, custom serial communications to the latest OPC (Object Link Embedded for Process Control) servers. These communication standards allow different computers to work together even though they use different operating systems. ConveySort® and ConveyRoute® simultaneously share files and send electronic messages between computers, programmable controllers (PLCs), workstations, printers, and your host computer.
ConveySort® and ConveyRoute® connect easily with intelligent peripherals such as unattended bar code readers, in-motion weigh scales, automated print-and-apply systems, and all major PLCs, making it the perfect fit in your automated conveyor system.
System operators can monitor the progress of a batch in the system by watching product counts through various system areas. Using information that ConveySort® and ConveyRoute® collect and display, you can spot trends that indicate problems with operational or hardware efficiency. You can print the information collected with an optional report package customized to your needs. This helps you correlate data over a period of time for an overall summary of your operation. System errors recorded in real-time are date/time-stamped in the error and event log. These logs may be viewed at any time, printed, or uploaded to your host computer.
ConveySort® and ConveyRoute® diagnostics are so advanced they not only tell you where a problem is, they also provide valuable information to help pinpoint the cause. If a system error occurs, the system immediately draws the attention of operators. For example, if there is a product jam, a motor overload, an emergency stop, or a loss of air pressure, the warning display lights up. If the problem causes a part of the system to shut down, an explanation is also logged and displayed so that corrective action can be taken immediately. Your maintenance staff will be able to react quickly when issues arise.
