Manufacturing is Breathing Easy in Pennsylvania
When a major sleep aid appliance manufacturer in Pennsylvania determined they had outgrown their overcrowded manufacturing facility (they had NO breathing space!) and had no room to expand the existing space, they determined that the best course of action was to build a new state-of-the-art facility. The company had 2 options, either move the operation overseas to reduce labor costs, or stay with what they knew would work.

What if you could bring a potential customer in and show them the most complex applications of your technology in one place, answer their questions by showing them how it actually works and focus them on the potential solutions to their unique materials handling issues? You'd need a huge warehouse and hours (perhaps days) to configure what might meet their needs - right? It would be expensive and would use uptime and resources that could be better used in other areas - right? WRONG!

Engineering Disaster... Oops!
The Citigroup Center was an engineering challenge from the very beginning - the northwest corner of the site that was chosen for the building was occupied by St. Peter's Lutheran Church. The church agreed to demolish the church to make way for the skyscraper under one condition: a new church would be built on the same corner with no part of the Citigroup Center touching it and no columns going through it. Impossible? Some architects thought so!
