When asked what it is that he does at Insight Automation, Tim Roy replies - "Whatever I'm told." Now that's the kind of employee you want on board! Tim is a Controls Engineer who has been with the company about 2 years and what he does is the "hands on" of Insight Automation - he works hard to "Make the conveyor SMART".

What Tim enjoys about his job is that the projects vary - he works on the physical layout of the systems and controls and whether he's working on something in the office or in the field - he gets to put it together and then make sure it works. He appreciates the fact that the products he works with are flexible - clients can "tell us what they want the system to do and we'll make it do it!"

When he's not tailoring systems and controls at work, you might find Tim enjoying educational programming on TV or, more likely, you'll find him outdoors enjoying bicycling, camping, fishing and rappelling (The Red River Gorge is a favorite spot!) Tim's travels have taken him as far afield as Sicily where he enjoyed the views of Mt. Aetna and discovered that you can order a beer at McDonald's - who knew?

This Controls Engineer feels that Insight is a place where you're in control - "You know what you need to do and you get it done in a friendly, relaxed environment."
